GOOD BYE 5 POINTZ

I can´t belive it´s true! It´s so sad! 5 Pointz is painted white.

All the incredible art is gone.

I am so glad I have been there two times. First time in 2012 and last time in June 2013, on the great graffititour with James Top, I met Meres and saw him painting. He showed us really nice paintings and I have some pics of this very nice, and now historical moment!

Is this art a crime?

Karlstad, in Värmland, has a legal graffiti wall. There is a graffiti coordinator of the municipality and possible to study street art at Karlstad University.

Stockholm city has zero tolerance graffiti and policy means that the city will not participate in activities that can somehow spark interest in graffiti. There is no way for graffiti artists to express themselves legally in the public domain. Street art and graffiti are considered creating insecurity and need to be removed within 24 hours. Other Scandinavian capitals have in recent years made zero tolerance for a more multifaceted approach (from "Zero tolerance" of Jacob Kimvall).

Top Line: Paintings from Stockholm, including one by the artist Hop Louie. Bottom Line: Paintings from the legal wall in Karlstad by artist Super G. The heart is still there on a wall in Stockholm. Anonymous.

We put this pics on a favorite cafe in southern part of Stockholm. Café Skåningen, Skånegatan 91.

The most trashed place in Stockhom

This area is a long time favorite. Here you can see artwork from talanted painters, year after year.

The surroundings are practically made for Graffiti and Street Art. But, again, what surroundings are "not" made for beautiful art?

This  place has indeed been nominated by the press for "The most trashed place in Stockholm".

Klottrarna at The Swedish Centre for Architecture and Design

In this great exhibition in Swedish Center for Architecture and Design you can see graffiti made of Klottrarna (swedish group of graffiti artists). This center is a part of the state under ministry of Culture (Kulturdepartementet). It is very interesting that it´s possible to see graffiti here. It is a beautiful exhibition of Jean Paul Gaultier and Klottrarna.
